Getting to Antiochian Village

The 2014 Socialist Organizing Weekend will be at:

The Antiochian Village
140 Church Camp Trail
Bolivar, PA 15923

If you are flying to Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) or taking a bus to Pittsburgh, YOU MUST talk to us before buying plane or bus tickets so that we can coordinate your arrival with others arriving in Pittsburgh and insure that you can catch a bus/train from Pittsburgh.

Buses/trains leave from Pittsburgh to a small town called Latrobe, PA, which is 25 minutes by car away from Antiochian Village. We can arrange to have someone pick you up from Latrobe. But it is important that we coordinate with you before hand so you arrive in Latrobe at a reasonable hour for someone to meet you. Email us at yds(a)dsausa.org or call the office at 212-727-8610.

If you are arriving to Pittsburgh from out of town by Bus instead of a plane, you will most likely be traveling into Pittsburgh with either Greyhound or Megabus.

Greyhound drops you off at Pittsburgh Intermodal Station and Megabus drops you off at the David L. Lawrence Convention Centre. Both locations are in close proximity of one another (approximately 0.3 mile), as well as the Westmoreland Transit bus stop at East Busway/Penn Station, so you will be able to walk to either Greyhound or Westmoreland Transit easily.

The bus stops are highlighted on this map:

Alternative – Renting a Car:

The prices for renting a car in Pittsburgh starts from $105 for three days dependent on which car rental service you use and which car you decide to rent. If you decide to rent a car be aware of the fact that most car rental services in Downtown Pittsburgh are closed on Sundays, so you will not be able to return the car on the Sunday. The only car rental service that does allow return on Sundays is Budget on Stanwix Street, however, their office closes at 01.00 PM, so the car needs to be back by then. An alternative to rent the car from Downtown is to rent it from the Airport, where most car rental services are open on Sundays as well. NOTE: Car rental services have different daily extra fees for additional drivers and young drivers. Most services charge extra when you rent a car as a young person under 25!
